Our sealing wax and brass stamps are made to turn writing, wrapping and correspondence into something a little more personal. A few simple precautions will help you use and keep them safely.

When using sealing wax

• Sealing wax becomes very hot when melted. Avoid contact with skin and surfaces while hot.
• Always melt wax on a stable, heat-resistant surface and protect your work area before you begin.
• Never leave a flame, wax burner or melting wax unattended.
• Keep burning candles and hot wax away from paper, dried flowers and other flammable materials.
• Keep sealing wax, matches, lighters and hot tools out of reach of children and pets.
• Allow finished wax seals and any tools used for melting to cool completely before touching or moving them.
• Do not ingest sealing wax. Our wax is intended for decorative and stationery use only.
• Work in a well-ventilated space and follow the safety instructions supplied with any candle, burner or other heating tool you use.

Caring for your brass stamp

Allow the stamp head to cool between repeated impressions. Brass can become warm during use.

Once cool, gently wipe away any remaining wax with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid sharp tools or abrasive cleaners, which may damage the engraved surface.

Store your stamp clean and dry, away from prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Brass naturally develops character over time. Small changes in its appearance are part of the material.

A note about your seals

Every wax seal is made by hand. Small differences in shape, thickness, color and impression are part of the process and make each seal individual.
